Builder nabbed for cheating house buyersSep 22, 2014, 12.24PM ISTTNNBHOPAL: A builder has been arrested for allegedly mopping up over Rs 20 crore from people wishing to buy houses and failing to give them duplexes. The action came nearly five months after a case of forgery was registered against three accused, identified as Deepak Kapil of Niho Constructions, New Delhi, builder Ashok Goyal and Diwan Singh Chauhan, at Nishatpura police station on April 24.On Saturday, Goyal was arrested and other two accused are on the run. Goyal is on remand till Monday. Police said two builders and another person have been booked for cheating over 300 people for not giving them duplexes despite collecting money from them. When people did not get back their money, the matter was reported to police.Kapil, Goyal and Chauhan allegedly madesale agreement on behalf of Niho Constructions. The project, which was to come up near Sanjeev Nagar, is pending for four years. Rajesh, a resident of MANIT campus, lodged the complaint after which the police probed the matter and a case was registered after finding charges true.
