Bhopal BHEL holds joint meeting for HT Motors

Bhopal, May 27 (Pervez Bari): A joint meeting was held at IFX Conference Hall of Product committee & Technical Committee for HT Motors. The members from Motor Marketing Group (Delhi), R & D (Hyderabad), CEPD corporate office EDN, Bangalore, ISG Bangalore, EMRP (Mumbai) & other senior colleagues also participated in the meet to work out various market strategies, for the growth of motor business.
According to a Press release M. K. Dube, ED BHEL Bhopal, while presiding the function appreciated the regularity of the MPC and said that the motor size is now heading towards large size hydro generators. He stressed on timely delivery in his concluding line. He yearned to the management to focus on meeting deadlines and tapping new business for higher rating machines.
S. R. Prasad, GM (EM), and chairman MPC highlighted Motor Product’s record turnover of Rs. 610 crore in 2009-10.He also endorsed Motor
Products commitment to manufacture 1800 machines in 2010-11 compared to 2009-10’s 1500 machines. Till date BHEL has manufactured the largest 5.2MW/22Pole Vertical Motor for Mundra Project. He pledged that the augmentation of capacity will be completed by 2011-12 and will manufacture 2200 nos. by 2011-12.
A. K. Dhingra, AGM (IMS) and Convenor (MPC), was felicitated with the MPC’s appreciation certificate for contribution towards motor business growth.
S. Lomash, GM (Corp. CEPD), articulating his satisfaction stressed the need to grab more orders for LEM range motors, development of low noise level motors and review internal processes to cut down non-value addition activities to improve bottom line of business operation.
The programme was concluded with P. C. Jain, AGM (IMS), expressing the vote of thanks.
