Bhopal, May 15:
The Madhya Pradesh Council of Employment and Training (MAPCET) being run under Tribal Welfare Department is making training available in various trades to youths belonging to scheduled castes and scheduled tribes. After the training, such youths get jobs in various commercial and industrial establishments.
Recently, the MAPCET arranged training to 11 SC and 5 ST youths in plastic processing techniques and quality assurance. During the six-month training, every candidate was given Rs 500 stipend per month. The minimum qualification for the training was passage of class X exam. Tool kits were provided to the trainees free of cost. There were two women trainees also among the trainees drawn mainly from Raisen, Bhopal, Sehore and Shivpuri districts.
The trained youths have been employed by plastic goods manufacturing companies in Daman island in Gujarat. MPACET imparts training to SC, ST and backward class youths. Its office is situated at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, 35, Shamla Hills, Bhopal. Youths belonging to reserved classes can contact the office for enquiring about the training programmes.
