Madhya Pradesh’s Sparsh Abhiyan gets e-Governance Gold


hopal, February 12 (Pervez Bari): Another award has been added to the series of national awards bestowed on the Bharatiya Janata Party, (BJP), ruled Madhya Pradesh. This National e-Governance Award Gold Award has been conferred to Madhya Pradesh for Sparsh Abhiyan launched for the upliftment of the disabled.
      The award was received by Madhya Pradesh Commissioner Disabled Welfare V.K. Batham and NIC Director Vinayak Rao at Jaipur during the 16th National e-Governance Conference today. Narayan Sami, Minister in the office of the Prime Minister and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot were specially present on the occasion.
      It may be mentioned here that Sparsh Abhiyan is a special programme for rehabilitation and empowerment of disabled, aged and destitute persons. Madhya Pradesh has been given this award in “Focus Sector” category for this innovate programme of its own kind. The award has been given jointly to Directorate of Social Justice, Madhya Pradesh and National Informatics Centre, Madhya Pradesh. (pervezbari@eth.net)
